I haven't blogged in a while because work has been so incredibly crazy. Attorneys shoot for 2000 billable hours in a given year...that's pretty much the "good" year mark. That equates to roughly 167 hours per month. I billed 250 hours in September, so I was incredibly busy. As a result, everything else fell by the wayside. This case I'm currently working on has been a great experience though, and I'm glad for that. Things have finally slowed down, and I've been able to get some much needed rest and relaxation.
Even though I have been so crazy, Michael and I did manage to squeeze in a couple of Aggie football games. We went down to College Station for the UAB game, which was a ton of fun.
We also went to the Arkansas game at the new Cowboy Stadium, aka "Jerry World." We had a ton of fun tailgating before hand with Burgess,' although the game didn't turn out so well for the Ags.
I had lunch with an old friend from high school on Friday and it was great to catch up with her. She's having a baby in April!! So many of my girlfriends are preggers right now. It is very exciting.
We have a busy week ahead, starting with U2 on Monday, Mary Poppins on Wednesday and a happy hour for some coworkers on Thursday. Should be fun and I'm glad my schedule has eased up enough to give me some free time!
