Michael has truly kept in touch with 1 person from his high school, John. Despite going to different colleges (UT v. A&M), grad schools (UT Houston Med School v. USC), and living in different states now (California v. Texas), these two have stayed close. John was one of the best men in our wedding, and Michael was John's best man as well.
In Oct. 2009, we went to LA to go to the U2 concert at the Rose Bowl with John and his wife, Jen. During that trip we learned that Jen was preggers, and just two months later, we found out we were expecting. Low and behold, we both had little boys!
John and Jen came to Dallas to visit family over the 4th of July and we finally got a chance to introduce the second generation of best buds to each other. Liam and Nate had a blast playing with one another and we so enjoyed seeing John and Jen. I suspect we will be getting together a couple of times a year in the future so the boys can grow up to be best friends just like their dads!
